Chêne Bleu focuses on handmade wines of the utmost natural purity. We call them “couture” wines to reflect our philosophy of extreme dedication, atypical mineral soils, biodynamic practices, low yields and handpicking, through to double sorting in the winery and non-intrusive forward-thinking winemaking. We believe that this extreme approach to winemaking combines the best elements of tradition, respect for nature, and qualitative practices. These costly processes are exacting and time-consuming, but we consider them essential to ensuring a bespoke wine of the highest quality.

A vibrant easy-drinking Grenache-Syrah blend, named after the real-life lovechild of famed medieval lovers Abélard & Héloïse. Younger in age and spirit than its complex, collectible “parents”, it aims to deliver fresh fruit but also nice spice, concentration and length.
Tasting notes: Deep, intense garnet with hints of mahogany. Nose: Rich and complex with notes of ripe dark fruits, spice and mocha. Smooth and fruity with velvety tannins. Long and aromatic. Aging potential: 8-10 years.
Grenache noir (75%), Syrah (25%) Alcohol: 13.5% | pH: 3.7 Assemblage of old-vine Grenache noir, over 60 years old, and other younger Grenache vines, north-west facing at 530m. Syrah over 30 years old, south-west facing at 540m. Soil: Argilo-calcaire (clay and limestone) and very stony. Pruning method: Double cordon de Royat, 6 shoots per cordon.

Inspired by “The Dream of Scipio”, a treatise by Cicero on the values and choices that drive us. A fragrant, velvety blend of old-vine, high-altitude Grenache, Syrah and young Mourvedre to showcase elegant aromas of spices and red fruit.
Tasting notes: An intense, bold garnet color. Rich with notes of spice, dark chocolate, red fruits and blackberries. Smooth and velvety with hints of dark fruit. Smooth tannins.

Tasting notes: A deep, brilliant crimson color.Complex with aromas of dark fruits and a hint of truffle. A fleshy mouth-feel, both dense and elegant with notes of mature fruit and refined tannins. Very long with notes of truffle.
