Last chance Cristom Willamette Eola-Amity Chardonnay

Chardonnay starts at the roots of Cristom. First planted on the lower slopes of the Louise Vineyard in 1993 and have been producing single vineyard wines since the 1996 vintage. This is our first allocation in BC because of the limited production and only have 10 cases until next release. At the recent Master Class hosted by Barbara Philip MW at the Vancouver Club it was one of the stars of the line up. Act fast to get in on some of the 2019 vintage.

Moving to Pinot Noir; all the single vineyard fruit in 2020 was de-classified into the 2020 Cristom Willamette Valley Pinot Noir bottling. This is an amazing opportunity to get into Cristom at an amazing price, rather than paying over $100 wholesale. We expect to sell out before our next allocation.

Though Cristom is no stranger to Chardonnay, having produced the varietal since our founding in 1992, our Eola-Amity Hills Chardonnay marks the joyful expansion of this wine program, both through collaboration with extraordinary winegrowers we're fortunate to call neighbours, as well as the increase of Chardonnay plantings on the Cristom Estate. Exhibiting an exquisite texture created by full malolactic fermentation in barrel, the 2019 Eola-Amity Hills Chardonnay offers racy acidity with notes of white peach and Meyer lemon zest before delivering a lengthy, refreshing finish.

94 Points – Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate, Erin Brooks
“The 2019 Chardonnay Eola-Amity Hills is characterized by broad, intense flavors foiled by tangy acidity. It offers aromas of apple pie, honeycomb, toast and white blossoms and is intensely flavored, ripe and textural, finishing with energetic freshness.”

The Willamette Valley Pinot Noir is a collection of barrels from benchmark vineyards across the valley, including our own estate, declassified to make one compelling blend representing the finest expression of the vintage. Throughout history, particularly in Europe, iconic brands have chosen to declassify wines. Declassified wines can give consumers entry into some of the greatest terroirs in the world. Each barrel of this wine receives the same immaculate care and attention to detail as the wines chosen to go into our Mt. Jefferson Cuvee and single vineyard wines only crafted to represent the larger Willamette Valley AVA. Aged in 13% new French oak.

90 points Wilfred Wong
The 2020 Cristom Pinot Noir is sturdy and slightly elevated on the palate. TASTING NOTES: This wine exhibits aromas and flavors of ripe red and black fruits, as well as a hint of minerality. Enjoy it with wood smoked salmon fillets. (Tasted: January 22, 2022, San Francisco, CA)
