On a rocky knoll that once lay beneath the surface of a crater lake formed by the cataclysmic eruption of a young volcano lies Rewa Vineyards. The site’s 9 million years of geologic history guides today’s viticultural and winemaking practices, honoring the dissected topography of volcanic tuff, river-worn cobble and volcanic bedrock.
Handcrafted by renowned winemaker Celia Welch from grapes grown by Mike Wolf, Rewa Vineyards’ small lot wines reflect the specificity of its place in Coombsville.
Grapes are harvested by hand and delivered to the winery where clusters are sorted, removing damaged or blemished ones. Individual berries are carefully chosen by optical sorter, ensuring each grape that goes into Rewa Cabernet Sauvignon is perfect.
